The Philadelphia Veterans Home is seeking a qualified contractor to provide comprehensive infectious and regulated medical waste removal services in full compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations. The contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, containers, transportation, and disposal services necessary to manage infectious waste generated at the facility. Services include scheduled pickup of sharps, biohazardous materials, and regulated medical waste; provision and maintenance of compliant waste containers; manifesting and documentation per EPA and PA DEP requirements; staff training on proper waste segregation; and emergency pickup capability. All vehicles and personnel must hold current PA infectious waste transporter permits. The contractor must maintain full regulatory compliance throughout the contract term and provide monthly compliance reports to the facility administrator. The base contract is 3 years with renewal options subject to satisfactory performance.
